Is anybody gonna be there to hold the fort? Is anybody gonna be left back at all? 'Cos when the silence comes to talk and slips one foot through the door You find you'll crawl; Is anybody gonna hear your call? And then the story does unfold, and shows... That only dreams can wake me from my sleep, Take me to my keeper, I need to speak to hear his needs. Is anybody gonna see my resorts? Is anybody gonna say what we all thought? 'Cos when the violence comes to stand and he takes you by the hand You find you'll ask, "Is anybody gonna fill these gaps?" And then the story spreads out flat and I'm sat by... And only dreams can wake me from my sleep, Take me to my keeper, I need to speak to hear his needs.

Lost Saviour 03:56
For what it costs to be Caught in the middle in between the better man and me. And when the sun don't rise Up from the bed of deeds; trampled down just like the dirt and weeds. It's unreasonable to believe it all from a man who can't be saved. But, if he could save us all from what is not in store, you'd wind up with some less fate. One in a million might teach you something, Whilst one in a thousand might cringe. Only the tough and the strong will make it 'cos they'll settle for the lesser dreams. When the time has come; Snatched from the sack of seeds the bagman keeps tied between his knees. And when the pavement cracks, Don't tread on the brittle bits, the tarmac sticks, you're stuck dead in your tracks.

Lights out 02:49
It's hard to beat; the bass drum keeps in time. I'm aching from the quaking at your sighs. If I believe the circus tent's in town, I'll take each step as it comes tumbling down. We're getting on, then we're falling out. The night seems so long when there's no light to put out. It's time to sleep. The sailors take the bow. I'm yearning for the learnings of the night owl. If I could see that pale, impartial moon, I'd drift into the white clouds far too soon. We're getting on, then we're falling out. The night seems so long when there's no light to put out.

Harm 03:05
No I won't go. You hold me so close. We're leaving out the back door in the yard. These things were sent to try us out, But these things weren't meant to do no harm. So, I said so. Though we can go, We'll leave it in the backyard by the coal. These things were sent to try us out, But these things weren't meant to do no harm. Is it ever gonna be waiting at home for me? Who would be so foolish as to stay? Are they ever gonna read about that fabled celebrity? Only your sights can set you free. No I won't go. You hold me so close. We're leaving out the back door in the yard. These things were sent to try us out, But these things weren't meant to do no harm.

Sometimes people got to be the worst kind of people they can be. And sometimes I don't believe it 'til I've seen it with my own two eyes. It's just word of mouth, it gets about. It's word of mouth, and that's all that counts. Stumble round the corner and you'll find the warning signs to put you off. Lost and reeling; up to the ceiling you've climbed the walls to try and reach the top. But word of mouth, it didn't get out. Yeah, word of mouth, it just don't help. Instead of hanging onto every word, They all fall down, the sentence is passed. No need to grapple on the side of the saddle which fell off your back. Somewhere there's a pair of daggers standing guard the furnace which burns up. And sometime there's the price to pay, and when your back was turned the fire struck. It was word of mouth, it got around. Word of mouth, it's all that counts

Caravan 04:08
Say there Mr. Postman have you seen my Caravan? It's grey and steeped in sawdust down the valley of the damned. It don't meet no expectations, it doesn't pay the cost, But it keeps me warm at bedtime and it shelters me from frost. Say there won't you help and lend a hand to land some food? The forest is full of children and they're eating all the fruit. They don't need no false nutrition, they don't need false hope; All they need is what they eat and what they eat just grows. When the wheels don't roll and all the leaves grow cold, You know it's only trees that fall, to build the shelter you call Home again. Say there Mr. Milkman have you seen beyond my gate? I used to be a sailor but the sea won't take my weight; Still I don't need no solid ground and I don't need no bricks, Just a humble home to call my own and a barrow full of sticks. When the wheels don't roll and all the leaves grow cold, You know it's only trees that fall, to build the shelter you call Home again.

about

Thompson Crowley Adelaide, Australia

After many years wandering around Britain in campervans, tents; on bikes; with prams, bags, buggies, I now find myself in Spain, preparing to flee to Australia. I'll be leaving behind the bands I created in London and Edinburgh, such as: The Rum Deals, The Patches & The Fed Peasants. Read about my adventures here: www.facebook.com/athomeinthebushes And for me, well, something new is coming... ... more
